Ferdinand Marcos bust was destroyed by known Marcos loyalists as well who defected from the Marcos regime. The so-called bust was said to be destroyed by New People’s Army, the infamous rebel group. The iconic photo of former president Cory Aquino and former vice president Salvador Laurel was taken in front of the Marcos bust.
